Cookies and browser storage

What this site stores in your browser, and what it does not.

This page explains what cookies and browser storage the Spire Junction Retirement Planning website uses, what it does not use, and how you can manage or withdraw your consent choice. It is written to be honest about actual behaviour: no analytics or third-party tracking runs on this site.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small file a website places in your browser. Browser storage (such as localStorage) is a related mechanism that lets a site keep a small piece of information on your device between visits. Both can be read again on later visits unless you clear them.

Types of cookies

A common distinction is between essential cookies, which the site needs to function, and analytics cookies, which track behaviour for measurement. This site uses no analytics cookies and no advertising cookies. The only storage item it sets is your consent preference, which is described below.

No other cookies, no analytics identifiers, and no third-party storage items are set by this site. If your browser shows any other item, it was not placed by us.

How to manage or disable storage

You can clear the consent preference at any time:

  • In your browser settings, clear site data for spire-junction.digital, or
  • Open the developer tools console and run localStorage.removeItem('sj_consent_v1'), then reload the page — the consent banner will appear again and you can make a fresh choice.

Third-party usage

There is no third-party usage. No scripts from advertising networks, analytics vendors or font CDNs are loaded by this site. Fonts are self-hosted and served from spire-junction.digital.

Impact of disabling

Clearing the consent preference has no functional downside. The banner will simply appear again on your next visit so you can reconfirm your choice. Rejecting the banner does not block any site functionality, because no nonessential technology runs on this site to block.

Because the consent preference is stored only on your device, withdrawing it is as simple as clearing the storage item above. If you would like to raise a question about how consent works on this site, contact us at info@spire-junction.digital.
